    Hi all,

    I need a bit of help and a recommendation if anybody has some contacts.
    Both my Washing Machine and Dishwasher have stopped working. I bought these as ‘returns’ that had been fully tested but haven’t been able to test them until now.

    The (Hotpoint) Washing Machine ran it’s first cycle OK but died just when it got to the spin cycle and won’t turn on again.

    The (Diplomat) Dishwasher seems to wash OK, but when the water starts draining out, somehow, the fuse blows and th dishwasher just cuts out. This has happened 3 times in a each time, replacing the blown fuse with a new one. My plumber mate reckons it might have to do with the pump but we’re not sure.

    I need someone who can remedy this problem so if someone can recommend an engineer in the Brighton/Hove/East Sussex area, that would be greatly appreciated.

    Also, can someone advise me on an average hourly rate for such an engineer.

    Why not try here. Find an engineer

    All of them will be happy to discuss terms before they visit.

    Nothing comes up in my search for Brighton unfortunately.
    Am I doing something wrong?

    What is your postcode?

    It is possible that we don’t have anyone listed in that area though.

    My brother lives in Hove, just entered his postcode with a few machines and drew a blank, you seem to be in a ‘black hole’ 😥

    Well he could say a prayer for you, he is the black sheep of the family 😉

    Church Army, the evangelical assistant to the Bishop of Chichester or something like that. There is always one in every family that goes of the rails. 😆

    He has been in Hove for less than 4 years but he did have someone to repair his washer about 18 months ago.

    I will ask him how he went on and pass on the details if suitable.

    I think Lawrence may know someone in that neck of the woods.

    And, you’re right, the whole area there is a bit of a nightmare for cover TBH but if you get really stuck let me know and I’ll try to sort something out.
