    Does anyone know about suppressors burmning on Hoover washing machines? They are ceing replaced as engineers see them but are not being recalled Is this right?

    Suppressors blow up with alarming regularity on all high current devices. People never switch off or pull the plug after use….

    I agree, but these ones are within a particular date code, so the problem is known about, but not being recalled

    are you trying to frighten people?

    as penguin says, they do fail, but its not unique to candy/hoover machines

    gias couldnt possibly ‘recall’ all the machines… most people dont return their registration slip, so how do they contact them?

    to be fair to them, they do have a reasonable structure to repair/replace faulty components, but a faulty supressor is hardly recall material

    it would appear maybe youve had a candy machine which has had a faulty surpressor, the engineers probably mentioned he’s changed a few and you think your on to something

    scaremongering is not a good tactic.. if it was pandemic, the forum would have been littered with posts by now, watchdog would be on the hunt, and there WOULD have been a national press release
