ParticipantHi,
Have just been reading your articles about buying a new washing machine (thanks very much – cleared up a lot of questions!)Now I’m trying to find the machines you recommend in your pick of the best, but can’t seem to find the ones with those serial numbers. Also the links (to John Lewis, Boots etc) don’t seem to work anymore. Are the serial numbers out of date??
Thanks for your help!

Hi Alex, very possibly they are out of date and that needs a revisit but Don will likely be able to tell you what the current equivalents are.

Hi Alex
Try these two links to start with they are much more up to date but not model specific 😉

Bosch offer a good all round range of products which are well made and have a two year warranty.
Then you have Miele which if you can afford to go the extra mile on price will give a good product with guarantees ranging from two to ten years depending on the model purchased. However should the appliance fail they can be costly to repair and usually it requires a Miele engineer to resolve the fault as the tech is mainly pc compatible.
As an alternative to the mainstream suppliers there is the ISE range of washing machines, these offer a totally different concept in that they have been designed by engineers and others from this site, whoever installs the machine will almost certainly be the one who comes to carry out any repair should it go wrong, the spares out of guarantee are much cheaper than a lot of the others out there, the minimum guarantee is two years and when the machine comes to the end of it`s natural life it can be refurbed and then resold again.
Iv`e installed a few of these and I must say that the ISE10 is as a brilliant machine I have come across and customer feedback has been extremely encouraging. While it does come with a high price tag it`s ten year warranty and potential lifespan is a real bonus.
ISE10 1600 spin AAA rated with a full 10-year warranty available here
