ParticipantHi there 🙂
Our dishwasher’s suddenly stopped working, co-inciding with a kitchen refit :rolls: It runs for a bit then gives up with an F7 fault code.
I’ve googled and seen that it should be to do with incoming water. I’ve cleaned the filters that I can see, but I thought they were outgoing filters.
There’s no kinks in any hoses, and we’ve tried draining it into a sink as well with no success.
I’ve taken some pics on the off chance they may help:

Also, the salt thingy is full of water – is that normal?
Does anyone have any suggestions, or is it an engineer job?
We’re in Llanelli, SW Wales. Help!!
Many thanks 😳

Piccie 2 – remove plug and connector from flow meter. Clean pcb contacts, pinch the connector block firmly and refit. It should work. Press and hold start button to cancel existing programme and reset.

We did try that, and it didn’t seem to help, but it is actually going through a cycle now, so maybe it is a bad connection there… I’ll double check the connectors when it’s done.
It seems very gurgly on filling, but it’s still going. Hubby wondered if it may be a flood fault so we let it drain laying the hose on the floor, and a bit did come out, but not too much. It seems to be since then that it’s working actually, so fingers crossed it completes the cycle.
Cheers for the tip 🙂

It’s completed the cycle now, so that’s good news.
Can anyone tell me if the salt compartment is supposed to be full of water? Cos it is…

Hi guys, thanks for all your help. I’ve checked and rechecked absolutely everything on this machine now and still same problem 👿
A new water chamber / flow meter is £62 plus delivery, and I can’t even see anything wrong with the old one, so it can’t be guaranteed that it is that. Maybe it’s something else, possibly something even more expensive?!
I have no idea how much an engineer call out would be, I’m guessing at least £60 just to get him here and have a look at the machine…
Is it worth it for a machine that’s very nearly 5 years old? Is this just the first of many parts in it coming to the end of their lives?
Yours dejectedly, Skint from South Wales 🙁

Righto, so I get really angry with my machine, write out its ebay ad for spares, give it a punch, then one last chance, and it obliges?!
Well if it can just clean the load that’s in it before it dies, that’s something, I guess, lol!
@cookermann – you’re so lovely 😀 thanks for your help. Have emailed Whirlpool to see if the sell the mini circuit board thingy separately 🙂
Oh, and looking through Adtrader, there’s one for sale, same model, same fault, lol!
That water chamber is used in dozens of machines – may keep an eye out on ebay for a similar model going cheap 🙂
