ParticipantHi
I am trying to find a model of table top dishwasher that is less than 42cm in height. My Mum has a lot of low kitchen units and most seem to be about 46cm high.
Any suggestions?? Does one exist?July 10, 2008 at 6:46 am #257090richardc1983

A quick search on google showed this:

I have just bought this bosche compact dishwasher and i have to say it is amazing, cleans very well and proffesionaly
YOu can pick up older models off ebay for much less, perhaps £70, but make sure its a bosch they are most reliable and good quality. U can pick up cheap makes most places but they are rubbish so beware.
Bosche is the best for this type of dishwasher, if you get a 2nd hand one it is worth buying a new spray arm as the new design spray arm is off the new model and washes exceptionally. They are about £12 to buy, you can tell if you have the new spray arm as it will have a curved and dark plastic with circular holes for water.. Whereas the old one is white with oval holes.
If u need any more info let me know.

Yes, if you only have a 42cm space you can slice off the top and use it as a frisbee. :rolls:

Thanks for the tips. It will mess the kitchen up big time if I move the unit up as it is tiled around it. I suspect that there is nothing I can do here as nobody makes them this small.
believe me I do plenty of washing up when I visit!

You might be able to shave another centimetre off the height of the Bosch model, by removing the rubber feet.
When my Grandfather had the Hotpoint tabletop machine (a Bosch in disguise), it wouldn’t fit under his kitchen cupboards. I removed the rubber feet, and it slid in perfectly.
The feet each had a small brass-coloured screw holding them on.
The base of that machine was sealed, so there were no air vents to block. I would imagine modern Bosch machines are similar in design.
