Customers – love and hate em !!

I’ve just been to a customer who rang at 1645 last night as I’m in the middle to cooking a lovely peppercorn sauce for our steaks. 😀 She spends 10 minutes telling me how I did a wonderful job for her (2 years ago). Apparently I manged to get to her and fit a stat to her fridge within an hour.. I can’t remember but I’ll take the credit. 😀 😀 She tells me it was a pattern part and she had to have the fridge turned up higher but it worked ok with no problems. However it’s not working again now. Why can’t you come tonight, don’t you do your 1 hour service? (she went on to tell me this morning that last time she managed to catch me on the way home and I did the job before I went home)

Went to her this morning. She doesn’t want a pattern part (I offered to fit) but wants an original. No problems with that but she wanted me to fit the pattern part and then remove it and fit the original when I get one in!!
No love sorry, no one hour service at 5 o’clock at night and no I’m not fitting 2 stats to your fridge unless pay for both of them and extra labour. Had to put it to her gently but she was not happy 🙁 She then proceded to tell me that I should have had 100s of pounds of work from people she’s recomended me to. And she went on and on. And I didn’t even get the offer of a cup of tea 😯
I’l be back tomorrow, with a genuine stat but I bet I don’t get a cup of tea!!
