Got a call for one of these today, I’m going out on Saturday to have a look. Not sure of the model yet but customer said he doesn’t think its a frot free (it’s his mothers). Fridge is warm inside and Liebherr have told him that it’s one of a few sensors. Hrmmm?
    Any ideas please?
    Thanks,
    Rob.

You’re not going to get anywhere without a model number………

    Hi

If its one of the sensors then it’ll be an electronic model which would display a ” F ” fault if its the evaperator sensor which is the most common.

So without the model number Liebherr wouldnt even know.(call centre blond comes to mind).

Re: Liebherr Fridge freezer warm in fridge. *****UPDATED****

Went out to this on Saturday.
    It is a model KGT3546 index 25/003
    service number 0970826-00
The fridge will get down to temperature from time to time but it fails to maintain it.
This is a twin compressor unit, and the freezer is fine.
It has an electronic module on the top with a temperature read out.
I unscrewed the thin metal evaporator at the back of the fridge and noticed there was a sensor marked with a green stripe attached to it. I couldn’t manage to remove this either from the evaporator as it was so tightly fitted (is this normal?)
I also noticed a red striped sensor in the interior light part of the fridge. Tried to remove the front panel so I could inspect the module but struggled as it would seem that the doors possibly need to be removed to achieve this. (Is this normal?)
Customer told me that if he presses the super cool button on the panel, he can’t hear the compressor start up.
My thoughts are the green striped sensor or the PCB but i could be barking up the wrong tree.
    Help me please?

    Thanks,

    Rob.

    Hi

the main board is removed by removing the screws which are in each bottom corner of the top panel, they will normally have plastic covers .

Phillipsd screw driver will remove the screws and doors dont need to be removed, the control panel then can be removed.

You did check to see if there was power going to the compressor didnt you ?.

The sensor is held into the evaperator cover with a bent over piece of metal, just bend it to open it.

I didn’t check for power to the compressor as it does run. I will get down to temperature but it won’t maintain it.
    Cheers,
