    Hi,
it’s been a while sinvce I’ve posted to this forum – the last time I had the dreaded E2 error and someboddy helpfully pointed me to the little black tube underneath and regular cleaning of said tube has mean pretty much uninterupted service – until today.
I have a new problem essentially the machine won’t start it’s program at all when I press the start button nothing happens – no beeps or anything.

I have also noticed the following

    1) If the machine door is shut tthe four program state LEDs that normally indicate what the program will do no longer illuminate as well – even if a turn the machine on and off they never illuminate.

    2) If I open the door and turn the machine off then back on the lights all flash briefly before turning off.

    3) If i open the door, tunr the machine ion and press the program start button three times quickly (like the reset sequence) then all four LEDs light but if I shut the door they goo out immediately and we are back into state 1 above.

I have not managed to ellicit a beep out of the machine at all. I have taken the door apart and checked for loose connections but everything appears fine.

Would appreciate any suggestions, pointers or advice.

    Thanks

    Mark

Programme lights are off when door is the closed position.

I would suspect that the power supply on the pcb is failing – new board most likely required. P/no 696290705 – likely to be over £100. spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk will be able to price one up and order it for you promptly.

Thanks Penguin45 – is there any way of testing whether this is the issue for sure before replacing the PCB ? I’m pretty handy with a multimeter

    Thanks again for the help

Probably……… However, we are not allowed to advise on any form of “live testing” in a public forum – the future consequences don’t bear thinking about.

    Sorry,

    Penguin45.
