    Hi.
    Just wondered before my Mum calls an engineer out if this is likely to be a simple issue or not bearing in mind it is a £90 call out through hotpoint with free spare parts. May be cheaper to get an independant out to fix.

    When she switches the machine on everything looks ok.
    When you start the progam the display changes from time remaining and displays “TEST”
    The drum rotates backwards and forwards but does not fill with water.

    Any ideas?

    Jim has been very helpful but got to get home first and give her a call to try things out.
    Will post an update tonight hopefully.

    I assume you know about Hotpoints Hotpnt 😀

    well, he does work for them, so yes, i would think so

    test mode is initiated by the customer, usually by pressing the on/off and start button together for a few seconds

    im sure jims pm will sort that for you

    I have expensive tastes in wine, I must be one of Laithwaites best customers. Stockport is quite near but Folkstone is a bit out of the way. 😯
