    Hotpoint TDC60P Sensor Condensor Drier

    When I plug the drier in to the mains, and close the door, the orange light illuminates, the heater starts getting hot, (but the fan does not start not does the drum rotate because I have not pressed the Start Button yet), and so the high temperature stat trips out.

    Could someone advise on what the problem could be, please? A circuit board? I have seen that they can be troublesome. Thank you.

    Sounds like the dryness module has failed. The heater relay on the board will have welded itself closed.

    Module is rather expensive, around £70.00 ex vat. 😯
