Hello!
Can anyone help?
I have inherited a Diplomat dishwasher model ADP 8234 and it has stopped washing properly.
When I return to the machine (in the morning) the digital display is showing an E9 Error code.The contents of the dishwasher look as though they have been rinsed thoroughly but not washed. The hatch containing the washing powder is still shut and the powder remains untouched inside.
I wonder whether the machine is cutting out before the hotter water cycles?
In the instruction manual, I can see the error codes E1-E6 but none beyond this.
I have searched the forum and can find nothing on this error code, hence the post!Thanks in advance for any help, which would be very gratefully received.

E9 is a repetative E1 error – flood protection activated. Check tray under machine for leaks. If dry, find youself a nice long cable tie and lift the rubber flap at the back of the sump moulding underr the filters. Proceed as if rodding out the drains – you’ll be surprised how much muck and goo comes out. Usually solves it.

Cleaned out the pipe you referred me to (with a toothbrush and a cable tie) and there was much goo and muck!
Then I put the dishwasher on and left it alone. When I returned there was no error and everthing was clean as normal.
Can’t thank you enough, it saved me a very frustrating Sunday, with the wife hanging over my shoulder, knowing as well as I do that I have no clue as to how to solve this problem…!
