AEG D/W Cabinet leaking.

    Sorry, but I’ve mislaid the Model no. for the moment.

    Went to this the other day, and it’s leaking from the top right handside towards the back. It’s actually leaking from the seam where the SS cabinet is crimped together.
    Normally I would just write this off, but apart from the above the machine is in perfect working order. (Only 3 years old).

    Now, I was wondering if there was any ‘permanent’ way of re-sealing this from the inside of the cabinet? I was thinking of using the high temp sealant that we use for the glass oven doors. Has anyone come across this and made a permanent repair out of it?

    I don’t want to mess about trying different things and finding that it keeps coming back and leaking every few months.

    I silver solderd a hpt/ind one that was only 18 months old it can be done but dont get the cabinate to hot or it will distort

    Yeah I suppose that would do it, but my silver soldering days are long gone. (Russell Hobbs SS spouts anyone?).

    I was hoping for something much easier 😛
