hi i have ordered a second board for this machine after blowing the first up 😳 (dodgy i.lock)now the new board has come and it again has yellow tape over where you put the tag leading from the on/off switch there is no mention of this in the leaflet but the other was the same.it is deliberatley put there as if to say dont use this.can anyone shed any light on this as tho why it is there?

I am having the same problem with a Zanussi. Board is blown and fitted new one and still no display. Going for last chance saloon and ordering the display board.
My new board also had that yellow tape over the plug socket. I took it off and used the socket as previous but don’t know why they cover it up.
My interlock looks slightly brown so praps i’d better change that as well.

Maybe its there so they can tell if it has ben fitted, incase you want to send it back beause it did’nt cure the fault, as unused for credit?

just an update this board had blown the front board as well so fit new main and front board the i/lock looked brown so i took it apart for the sake of £6ish and glad i did it was quite black inside,anyway fit all 3 new parts and all now ok.i just wish they would put a note on about the yellow tape.
