What is the part number of the timer you have, it sounds like it may be a delay timer rather than a reversing one. The delay timer only has two contacts.

Reversing timer is a 1702381, delay timer is 1702741.

Don’t have a TDL manual but do have the VTD20 which uses the same reversing timer.

1702381/C00099102 is the part number on the bag. Two terminals have the red motor wires soldered to them with possible space for two spades to fit on. two are empty. Connections show a note thet they are interchangable :con:

    So thats four terminals then?

I will send you the stuff I have on the VTD20. It does list a few different timers.
