    Hi Guys,

I went to this old dog today, by appointment, as usual the customer was using the oven.

I have arranged to go back next week, but its in a bespoke kitchen and looks like its going to be a pig to get out. Problem is the main (lower) oven is completely dead. Anyone know of usual causes, anyone got a circuit diagram so I can be best prepared when I go back to it.

    Thanks in anticipation,

    Regards, Mike.

It might just be the door switch – you dont have to take the whole oven out to get to it just slide it forward and undo screws either side of the control panel slide the panel out and the switch is in the middle – i have done several of these. It switches off the fan and element when the door is opened

    Hope this helps 😀

    Thanks fot that UT.

Would this account for the oven being completely dead, ie Not even the “Arrow” which lights up on the facia to indicate which oven is in use, is coming on?.

    ManyThanks, Mike.

I’m pretty sure it feeds the selector switch/stat which would stop the arrow coming on if it is open circuit. You can bypass the switch to check
it will just mean the fan and element stay on if you open the door
the same as most ovens do

    Thanks UT,

Yes it was the door switch. Shorted-Sorted.

I hope that this post is of some help to someone else.

    Regards,

    Mike.
