    Hi. I have a Hotpoint RLA64 Fridge 😥 My problem is ice forming on the back wall (but only the top 14 inches). The compressor is running 24 hours a day and untill today you could hear the gases flowing through the pipes. The problem started Sat, so i turned the fridge off and defrosted it. When i started it up again the top of the fridge is cold but the rest is warm the noise of the gases is gone. I have used a straw to clear the defrost gutter drain hole,but nothing has worked 😡 Any advice PLEASE

    Sorry for the late reply.

    Sounds like a system failure of some sort and you would need a refrigeration engineer almost without doubt, it’s not a DIY fix.
