    Hi All

    Got a simple problem with my Bosch SGS4072GB Dishwasher. It is not emptying after the cycle.

    I have taken the LHS side off and I can see that there is a air lock in the outlet Left Hand side of this plastic unit. The picture is not of my unit but on mine the top left is totally black and guncked up.


    So how do you clean this part or do I have to purchase a new one?

    Any help would be appreciated

    The top area that you’re pointing out , if blocked , won’t stop the machine from pumping out. It may cause the machine to syphon back in though , should your dishwasher be ‘plumbed’ in to your domestic waste. Can you hear the pump running when you reset the machine ? If you canm , i’d be checking the drain hose connection first. If you can’t hear the pump operating after reset , i’d be accessing the pump impellor , bottom of inside water sump and looking for an obstruction there.

    I have managed to clear the top left area and all is working OK now.

    Looks like that area being blocked causes an airlock. Now it is cleared the machine is running very well
