ParticipantHi there,
My integrated Teka DW6 59 FI has stopped working. What seems to happen is…
1. I select the programme I want it to follow.
2. I place the detergent in the dispenser
3. I close the door
4. The dishwasher sounds like it’s going to work, making it’s usual noises
5. After around 2-3 minutes it utters a 1 second long constant beep, then seems to try and drain itself. There is, of course, nothing to drain
6. After around a minute it then stops, and of its five light display, the leftmost three are flashing and the rightmost (i.e. the one you’d use to choose an intensive programme) is constantly lit.I have checked the owner’s manual and it doesn’t list this error code in the troubleshooting guide.
Does anyone here know what the problem might be? It is beginning to drive me up the wall, and the dishwasher repair man will cause me to take time off work I can ill afford as a self employed man!
If you need any more info than I have given, please do ask.
Many thanks in advance.
Mike

Hi Mike,
That’s a Smeg in a dress IIRC and what you have is an E7 error on it. A reset MAY cure it but there’s no guarantee that it will as it’s a flow meter error…
PCB reset procedure for E7
With the door open, turn the appliance on and, within three seconds, push 4 times on the program selection button – The test program has been selected if the SOAK and STRONG pilot lamps are flashing. This LED combination represents the test program for appliances that have a flow meter.
If, after applying the reset procedure, the above indication is not shown on the display, switch the appliance off and commence the reset procedure again, from the beginning.
Once the two outer LED’s are illuminated push on the program selection button once to select the version “without flow meter” and check that the pilot lamp of the SOAK indicator is off.
To complete the procedure, do not close the door, simply switch the appliance off. After a short delay, 10 to 15 seconds, switch the appliance back on and test on a SOAK program.
If that doesn’t cure it then you need to employ the services of a, no doubt, self employed (;))appliance engineer to diagnose and sort it TBH.
