    Hi, I’m new to the site but I thought I’d share a repair that I did a few years back.

    The machine went through its full wash cycle, but the clothes came out soaking wet. Searching for an answer on the internet, all that I came up with was to replace the motor control board, which was quite expensive.

    As I am an electronics engineer by trade, I decided to check out the board. I quickly found an open-circuit high power resistor marked as 6.2KOhm 5W (white rectangular, 2x1x1cm). I replaced it with the nearest I could find – 6.8KOhm 7W and it has been working fine ever since.
