    Hi, Hope someone can help.

Moved house, washing machine worked fine before when setting it up again in new house noticed that it just sits on all programmes but one 40oC washing (the last one on the right side of the dial, ‘M’ I think?)
On the others, the hot wash, it hums, like its trying to do something but never gets there.

Not sure if machine got damaged, the water pipes at the new house don’t work, water pressure? or We’ve just hooked it up wrongly.

    Any clues?

If you can hear a humming noise, you probably have a water supply problem. The valve is open but water is not flowing…..

    Thanks Peng!

Would anyone know why only one program at 40C works?

the machine takes in both hot and cold water but not at the same time, on the 1 that works i would hazard a guess that its taking in cold and heating to temp, on the others it needs the hot to fill then cold but because its not getting any it will just wait until it does, hope this helps

Thanks smartin, would a cold only tap stop all the other programs or just slow down the washing time, manual seems to say hot tap isn’t required?

But I will pull the machine out of the tight wedged hole that it’s in and take a look who it was hooked up….

The manual probably also tells you that if you don’t have hot water you need to plumb both hot and cold inlets of the machine to the cold tap using a Y piece adaptor. The first reply you received should have been adequate for you to fix your problem.
