    Hello all,

I know this 30+ year old lump of a cooker is obsolete, but mine (was) in perfect working order, gas tested and all……right until I broke the outer glass door on the smaller right-hand oven.

I’ve no desire to replace the old thing, so I need to source a new door:

    1) I take it there are no suppliers anymore, given the cookers age etc..? ( unfortunatley, no old/broken ones on Ebay just now)

    2) I assume I’m looking at getting a new door made – its glass after all, and I have the old handle and mouting screws.

    The help I need is:

What type of glass is it? Is it standard laminated/ toughened, or something more specialised?

As the old door shattered when it hit the floor, I don’t know the exact dimensions. Are these available somewhere? Can I find a template? Any lastly, is there anyone out there who can save me the hassle and knows where I can find a door or is capable of fabricating a new one?

    Fingers crossed…

    Thanks

    Dave

    It’ll be “tempered” glass…ground edges and heat-treated 🙁

not impossible, but would need a really good glass company to make one at a viable price.

Someone just MIGHT have one in old stock…..you HAVE tried the “spares” link ?-(here, on the site! drop them an email.
