ParticipantBeen doing a bit of research on various washers.
At the moment, despite ISE s looking great machines, they are out of our budget range at the moment.
Here are our requirements:
We only have electric in our property, so delayed washing in the early houtrs is required.
Needs to be resonably quiet because of running it in the night.
A good spin is required as because of electric central heating we will be looking to cut costs with drying naturally on clothes horses, and outside when poss. We dont have a tumble dryer at the moment either.
The Indesit looks a good machine has had good reviews from what ive seen, but one critism is that in Spin only mode it only Spins at 800rpm. Is this common for washing machines for the spin only programme to be slower than the machines top spin speed? Will look forward to your comments.

Participantzanussi wins that one hands down
just read the forums… indesit/hotpoint stuff..it really isnt that reliable, the electronics are about as much use as a chocolate fireguard
yet the zanussi, despite some failings is far more reliable
both will have a welded tub, thats for sure, but zanussi electronics seem far more reliable than the indesit stuff
i think, as im sure others will agree, the zanussi would certainly be a better option for the money

The Indesit is cheap and nasty rubbish.
The Zanussi promises a lot – 1600 spin for £299 is impressive. However, high spin with a sealed tub assembly = short service life and uneconomical repair cost (spare part is an entire tank assembly).
Spin speed is very often a “Mine’s bigger than yours” game played between manufacturers. 1200 is perfectly adequate for most day to day operations – a read of THIS article will debunk most of the myths.
If your budget tops off at £300, an ISE2 is a decent choice. You’ve hinted that you like the ISE ethos. This is the “budget” one. It’s simple, reliable has a decent warranty in its class, and after the warranty period, is highly repairable at a cost effective price. Have a look HERE.
I will confess a vested interest, being an ISE agent; BUT – we sell loads of them. People are gradually beginning to remember what their grannies told them – “You will get what you pay for.”

Bosch WAE machines are better quality than their WAA counterparts. A good way of telling which is which by the door handle, the WAE machines are half moon shaped.
However the WAA series also come with a two year warranty, so it`s still a good buy.
Google the Bosch WAE24363 😉

right ok, its down to these:
Zanussi ZWF 16070W1 £299 inc del / fitting
Zanussi ZWF 14070W1 £242 inc del / fitting
Bosch WAA28165 £285 inc del / fitting (2 year warranty)
Bosch WAE2416SG £310 inc del / fitting (seems to be a great machine, but the 30min end of cyle beeping will probably wake us up in the middle of the night)
What would you guys recommend out of these?August 22, 2008 at 3:37 pm #260313micky2008

forget about the above….based on reviews and feedback it looks like its worth going for a bosch, esp as they have 2 years warranty.
So its either:
WAE24363GB for £290 inc del
or
WAE2416S for £281 inc del
SO which one should I get?the only real differences are that one has a digital display which shows the remaining time, the other is able to do a half load.
anm i right?

Hi micky
The WAE2416S has no digital display and comes in the silver finish while the WAE24363 has the delay timer and comes in white. Both machines have the acoustic and LED indication at the end of the cycle. Either way they are good solid machine which will give you good service.
