ive been out to this appliance today they are complaining that the fridge is freezing the food at the bottom and also the freezer is frosting up causing fan noise i notice they have changed the old red green sensor set up now has anyone come across this

Tony, The sensor cabling is now foamed in although the sensors are visible. They are not available as a spare part. There is an extensive modification available but its expensive. What I would do is get the customer to defrost the whole appliance for 48 hours and then restart and see how they go – basically the fan housing and air ducts up to the fridge have frozen up.

they did defrost fully symptom came back very quickly do the pcb’s fail on these or would you say it needs the sensor conversion fancy foaming them in when the old plug in ones were such an easy solution, they seem to go backwards
