Participanthi everyone, i have come accross a bosch washer dryer wvti2840/03 with a E01 fault. It is listed as an Aquastop fault so i contacted Bosch who sent me out an Aqua Secure which is basically just a fill hose with what looks like the valve part at the cold water supply end. when i have fitted aquastops to dishwashers before there is an electrical supply at the end which connects to cold supply valve under sink. Has anybody come across this E01 fault and will this part solve the problem?? Just to save me looking a plonker when i go into the house go to the trouble of pulling appliance out just to find fault still exists after replacing this gloryfied water hose.
regards graham

The aquastop in this case is purely a mechanical device. If the hose develops a leak there is a sponge like material within that expands in contact with water and pulls the valve plunger shut. If this is the case you will notice a small inspection window on the aquastop, if that window has turned RED then the aquastop has activated and will need replacing, hence the E01 fault code showing.
HTH? 😀

hi,thanks for the reply, i didnt notice the red window part on the customers one as first time i had come across this new time of aquastop, but i did see it on the new hose i have ready to fit. So i betg on closer inspection of the custs one that the window has indeed turned red. As i took off the custs hose at supply end i found some yellow putty type stuff on the hoses filter as property is a new build.

That type of aquastop system is rubbish in the extreme and a sad reflection on Siemens for adopting it in the first place. The FIA used a similar system during the 2005 GP season for their fuelling shut-off valves leading to many pitstop problems. The idea was subsequently scrapped……. :rolls:

just had a phone call form the customer saying that she did one wash perfectly then half way through the drying cycle it starting flashing E01 again….aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Any ideas what else could cause this fault???
The pump is activated at the same time and it cycles through the status lights , i.e time remaining, spin etc
Dont really want to part with money i took and would like to help this customer out if possible but dont want to keep ordering spares in the hope one of them fixes the problem.

Sounds like the float in the base has been activated then if the pump runs?

went back to the appliance yesterday and found base full of water. The 3 way valve is faulty and dripping water constantly even when not in use. Called bosch as they were cheapest for the part and it is out of stock in this country and needs to come from the mother land (germany). I think there is possibly a big problem with these parts as appliance is only just over 2 years old and seems a bit of a strange fault to me as never seen a valve leak like that.
