    Help required please
    Siemens Siwamat5020

Yesterday I traced a problem of the mains tripping to the Siemens W.M. I noticed poor flow on the empty pump due to rubbish trapped in the entry to the sink unit trap, having cleaned away the obstruction I thought that was the end of the matter. But later in the day I noticed the drum was not moving on wash or spin but free if moved manually. I have removed and checked the brushes and cleaned the commutator and measured a voltage across the brushes while spinning the spindle. I can hear the relay clicking on the circuit board but still no movement on the motor.
I am able to measure voltages etc. if I know what I am looking for.

The mains has not tripped anymore during the testing

    Any ideas please.

Just meter the motor from the connector block at the top – three circuits through the motor. If they’re all intact, the timer/pcb unit has failed.

Thanks for reply, I have had a quick look and I am only picking up two circuits. I will have a better look when the grandkids get back to school.

Once again thanks for your help.

    Regards
