Can anyone please help with my noisy dishwasher.
It produces a loud buzz when switched on. I’ve tested the fill solenoid and that works ok. So I checked the main pump and found what may be a problem.
The motor has 3 connections No 1. frame earth, No 2. Spade connection on motor housing, No 3. Spade connection on a Klixon solenoid, mounted on pins next to No 2.
I think the klixon solenoid is faulty as it rattles, is this normal? I would have expected the contact to be opened with a spring and closed when a voltage was applied.
I’ve checked/contacted a few web site with no luck.

You can test it’s function by metering between the spade connection and the two sockets…the contact between the spade and the start winding socket will be open when the relay is the right way up and closed when you invert it 😉
