    Hi Everyone

Been out to this w/machine (Hotpoint WMA 20) customer had tried to change door lock and Ithink he blew the PCB, does anyone have a wiring diagram for thiis machine as I need to check the connections at PCB and doorlock ( new white type ) and the plug on the wires going to the door lock has been removed leaving 2no white wires and 1no red wire. Have new PCB and new white door lock ready to fit.

Is this a common repair or may the problem with the PCB lay elsewhere ???

    Any help would be great.

    Thanks a1al

I can send you the WMA38 diagram, all the basic connections are the same. Rewire the plug to the interlock as per the diagram using the old red interlock , that is to say the wires coming out facing the cabinet front, then remember to turn it round so that you have the wires coming from the plug facing the drum not the cabinet front if fitting a white door lock.

Door lock is a common cause of PCB failure.

Thanks iadom that would be great if you could email me that diagram, unfortunatly the customer removed plug belonging to doorlock, do you think the diagram will show these connections so I can reconnect using spade type connectors?

    Thanks again

As long as you reverse the two outer connections on the diagram if you are using a white interlock.
