I have been out to this customer the oven heats up fine on fan setting but when on conventional + fan setting it takes about 30 mins to heat up – my customer is convinced it is the element that is faulty but element tests ok? thermostat tests ok – any ideas?????? 😕

When you say element tests OK- have you actually run it up on a flying lead? Sometimes an element will heat up a little then fail as it warms.
I assume we’re talking about the base element R2100011 (Masterpart).

I have tested the elements for continuity and there has been no change in mega testing them after heating. Do you know if 30mins for conventional oven with fan is excessive time please?

Ask customer if the problem has only occurred recently or has always been there. Sometimes they forget to mention that and you do your head in for nothing. Does seem overly long, doesn’t it? I wonder if they’re linked up in series, leading to shared voltage across them? Could check that. Alternatively, why not get the element and tell him it’s his loss if it don’t cure it since he’s “convinced it’s the element”.
