The drum on our CREDA T630CW will no longer turn on larger loads and the motor seems to be overheating as there is a slight burning smell. Removing garments solves the problem and the dryer works perfectly but the loads are now about 30{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the capacity they used to be.

Does the belt just need tightening or could it be something else causing the problem ?

    Thankyou.

well, its more likely to be a motor problem

BUT it could be a multitude of things , ranging from capacitor to drum shaft/backplate failure

you really need to be pulling it apart, and having a look… plug out, of course

    Thanks for the post helo_75.

I’ll do some investigating and report back.

    Thanks again.
