My new f/freezer coming today. Are Liebherr a good make? My old one was Bosch but conked out totally after 8 years so don’t feel too bad about it. i’ve ordered a standard one not frost free.
Is frost free better or have I made a mistake? Basically just wondered what the quality of Liebherr are like and if anyone has one how do you find it?

Yipeeeee I’m so glad. It’s just arrived and I’ve unpacked it – very impressed with how thick the doors are – looks nice and chunky. How long should I leave it before I switch it on?
The delivery guy said you only have to leave it 3 hours for the gases to settle? What would you experts recommend?

8 hours minimum Linda, overnight (12 hours) better unless they’ve transported it properly in an upright position in which case 3 hours should be okay.

Got my mother’s old Zanussi integrated fridge at the moment – it’s freestanding on 2 pieces of plywood – looks very unsightly but it’s kept my stuff cold for the ten day delivery wait I had for my new Liebherr.
I’ve waited ten days, I shall leave it overnight and plug in tomorrow.

i’ve ordered a standard one not frost free.
A good choice. 😉 Simple and ‘engineered’ by Germans. It will more likely than not have a long troublefree life. Liebherrs are generously insulated so an A, A+ rating is a nice bonus.
