This machine was showing a E45 fault and cutting out mid wash. The fault guide said problem with the doorlock side of the PCB. Therefore I replaced the PCB and doorlock to be sure.

Now it is showing a motor fault E54? Ive tested the motor it runs fine on the test program but will stop mid wash and the start button will flash? Ive tested all components and nothing points me in the right direction. What are the boards on these like, is there a common reason for failure.

M/C is only 18 months old

    Cheers

Motor failure is usually down to overloading which can happen any time in the life of a machine. I had one customer who destroyed 2 Hotpoint motors within a week.
