    Hi,

My APP6403 has failed and the board is slightly corroded. Looks like a bit of condensation got into the control compartment.

I’ve orderd a new one from the Whitegoods shop and will fit when it arrives.

Is it worth putting a little silica gel pouch in there as well to help with any future condensation? Would this cause any issues or be dangerous in any way?

If you have had water in the control panel will be due to one of two causes.

either something has spilt on the worktop and dribbled underneath it happens occasionally or the insulation is breaking down at that point which is most likley.

Unless it is really bad fit the PCB if it fails again then its goodbye freezer.
