Whirlpool double door american fridge freezer over running?

Im going out to one of the Whirlpool double door American fridge freezers in a couple of days. Customer has reported the water dispensor leaked causing a pool of water on the floor so they turned the tap off to it. They have since turned the tap back on and all is ok with the water but she thinks its running all the time???
I know there have been a few electronic issues with these units, however this is the first one I have been called out to so any help or advice is more than welcome.
