    The soap dispenser on my Bosch SGS6312GB/13 will not open automatically.

    Replacing the dispenser actuator (p/n BSH166635) has not fixed the problem.

    Somebody has suggested that I replace the whole Dishwasher Soap Dispenser (p/n 260388 @ £33.50) – may I ask:

    (1) Does that seem a sensible best guess for the next step in fixing my problem and
    (2) If so, how do I remove the Dishwasher Soap Dispenser – is it obvious / self evdient once I separate the inner door / is it easy, please ?

    The main circuit board could be the problem on this old machine I suspect 😉

    Martin,

    Thank you. The machine is not quite as old as me but I know they do not last forever.

    I replaced the big board / CPU thingy which slots behind the main buttons (e.g. 65, 70, Quick Wash etc) about a year ago. Is that the one you are referring to as a potential suspect ?
