Hello, I have a miele G595SC dishwasher, I have to replace the heating element, which is internal. I have removed the bolt from inside the machine which releases the holding bracket, the element feels like it would pull out but something is stopping it.
From under the machine where the element ends are connected, there is a earth connector around one of the ends and it is this that is stopping the element being removed, I can not work out how to remove this earth connector. The earth connector is formed into a collar which goes around the element, it will not pull off or turn, I have tried this with pliers and grips but am unsure, so do not want to apply to much pressure. The back bracet that the front bracket bolts into is also stopped by this earth collar it all parts about 1/2an inch.
Can anyone advise me as I am at a loss. I have phoned miele and they will give me no information, as I am tinkering, they have told me the part no for the element and that it is available.

I will compare with my 665 in the next few days when it is back on its side! and let you know if I have any insight…many miele bits do seem a bit complicated at first but I have often found that you just need to think like a german. Things normally only come apart one way, the miele way!
