    Hi,

I’ve got a problem with my fridge and want to know whether it’s worth trying to get it repaired.
For the last couple of months I noticed that my milk was going off faster than usual, but just thought I was imagining it…. until an unopened juice carton exploded in there.
Anyway, I bought a fridge thermometer, and found that whatever setting I tried the temp would not go below about 10 degrees. 🙁
I also noticed that the fridge wasn’t making any noise. The light is still working though!

I tried turning it off for 24 hours and waggling the red key thing around whilst it was turned off. When I turned it back on it did make some fridg-y noises for a bit, but after a few hours just went back down to it’s 10 degree temperature and no further.

Is there anything else I can try?
Is it worth me trying to put a new thermostat on it?
Is it worth trying to get it repaired?
Or should I just accept that I need to buy a new one?

    All help gratefully received!

    Zoe
