    Neff S4730BOGB/07 45cm dishwasher. FD. 7207.

Fault reported – no heat. The motor is spinning slowly, so I’m assuming that the lack of pressure in the heater chamber is not activating the plunger switch, therefore no heat. The timer will not advance past the heater sections of the cycle.
The motor is relay driven, so could a faulty relay cause the motor to spin slowly? The motor speed is constant and the field coil does not get hot. I am inclined to think it’s a duff motor; but any thoughts would be appreciated as the motor is £211!!! 😯

    Thanks,

    Steve.

Had a Bosch slimline which did same thing. It had a partly burnt red plastic thing on top of the motor, can’t remember if it was a relay or a toc or what. Replaced it – no difference. Then had a look at pcb and found burnt relay contact – aha!- soldered it – no difference. After a bit more time than it was worth I gave that one up. Sorry not to be more positive!

Motor. Faulty relay and it won’t run at all.
