called to this machine this week
found door catch snapped off, water in drum and client said on last use
it was washing for 4 hours and no programme advance. Dail rotating continuallyfound drain pump open circuit…reason why client snapped door handle trying to open with water in.
have fitted new drain pump and new door handle
unit drains ok
unit spins ok
unit takes in water and starts wash cycle ok when programmed
client puts in washing sets at his normal programme, 2 hours later same sympton dail is rotating..no programme adavance still on wash cycle
any ideas welcome
i did not check heater as it appeared everything was fine

dont be surprised if the pcb is fubar
need to count the flashes , then you’ll have a better idea, but it might be worth checking the heater

And pressure switch. You can remove it easily enough and lever it open with a screwdriver (watch you don’t stab yourself!). Look inside for burning of contacts. Possible to re-assemble and re-use if pristine; otherwise change it. This way you know if it’s faulty – gives you confidence in the repair. (Speaking from experience with recent F eight).
