    AQGL129PI hotpoint aqualtis washing machine.
    want to stock a large drum machine at reasonable cost.
    i have only ever had to fit a new belt on these, nice and quiet when washing. nice to here of any opinions on it. i dont want to sell a complete pile of merloni made rubbish but there dont seem to be many other options.

    Sold quite a few of these over the last couple of years with no problems whatsoever. We installed a 1400 spin version into a 4 bed guest house well over a year ago now and the owner is very impressed with the wash quality and reliability.

    Our local Hotpoint service engineer reckons they are good and reliable which is something you don`t normally associate with Merloni 😆

    As a Merloni engineer myself i have only been out too about 5 genuine faults on these machines which have been out 2 years now.

    Don’t know why the Aqualtis is so reliable compared to the other ranges. ❓

    Saying that i’ve not been to one moon machine yet.

    I,m Indesit employed too,I have seen few and far between of these.
    Couple of module faults and one door seal,a knackered drum because of a key and thats about it.

    I,ve done 1 drum for bearing failure, a couple of modules most of the rest just rubbish in the pump, wasnt sure about them at 1st, i,ve now recomended a good few and so far everbody is happy with them.

    The only one that I’ve seen, had blown the capacitor off the board in a quite spectecular mess! I’ll get a picture for you 8)

    Done three or four, all pump blockages or similar.

    That’s what I thought when I saw one 😕

    I’m not sure it if was the exact same model, but I wasn’t impressed. Cr*p drum, good motor but cr*p electronics…

    I didn’t try soldering that one back together :innocent:
