    i removed the stat from dryer heater ass on top of tub it has a long thin probe, can i get it back in no, it goes most of the way but wont fully re engage have tried in vain , is there something i am missing ?

    Hi

    The end of stat should push through a hole on opposite side of heater box.

    thanks mike i cant seem to locate it i think i will have to split the heater box which looks dificult becase of the support rail that runs across the top
