ParticipantMy 1 year and 3 month old (3month out of warrenty) Admiral side-by-side SAL224 is over cooling.
The fridge is now freezing bottles of soda completely solid and yesterday I had frozen carrots and lettuce.
The manual only suggests cleaning the bottom and rear vent with a vacuum. I’ve cleared the bottom vent, but I can’t find a vent at the rear.
The door seals seem to be fine and ive moved things around inside to make sure that the air inlet isn’t blocked.
My question is;
Are there any more things I can do to try and diagnose the problems?
What could be the possible causes and solutions?Many thanks

Ive had a look at the FAQ here and im sure that it isn’t any of the following;
• Door seal/s faulty or not sealing allowing air ingress
• Evaporator door (icebox fridges) not sealing correctly
• Insulation failureI put a glass of water in the fridge last night to measure the temperature. After I smashed through the frozen top, the temperature was about 0.5 degrees.
Can some one tell me how I can test if the fault is;
• Thermostat faulty
• Blockage in gas system (can cause an ice-ball)October 2, 2008 at 5:16 pm #263936ELDAR59

Any help appreciated.
My 2 year old AC2224GEKB Admiral fridge/freezer is over cooling.
happened last year and was remedied by cleaning the coils.
Now have tried this and no joy.
Have heard of Dampers sticking and thermistor problems.
Help please.Genty
