Indesit Oven FM20K C IX GB

Fault reported was oven blowing fuses. I found that the bottom element was shorting on the back panel. This was because the element and the steel plate to which it is attached had dropped down at one corner. I rectified the problem be wedging some bits of broken ceramic tile under the insulation of the oven base. I could not see any means of securing the steel plate to the main oven chassis. Should there be brackets or something for this? I will have to go back to the job as the oven selector switch has also failed, possibly by the short circuit overload.
