ParticipantI have just had to strip a drum out of a ZWD1261W to remove a sock which had jammed it. While doing this i noticed that it seemed like it would be very difficult to replace the door seal (not had to do one on this model before) while the drum is in situ. It was a pig just getting the wire clip back on to the rubber where it connects to the heater vent. I was just wondering for future reference how the seal is replaced.
Thanks

1) unplug
2) remove top
3) undo 7mm nut holding dryer ducket together
4) remove duket from seal
5) if jet system remove hose
6) remove old door seal
7) soak new door seal in hot water
8) refit seal with washy liquid on it
9) the trick to refitting the clip on the dryer ducttet is to put it in place slightly twist together with long nose plires and then insert a small flat bladed screw driver and twist forward.hope this help`s

Thanks for reply Rogue.
The bit that looked most difficult to me was getting the spring clip around rubber and outer drum edge especialy in between the bit where the weight block is.

It is tight but it can be done providing our dont have fingers like sausages!
The training (years ago) for getting the clip back onto the drier duct, suggested a piece of narrow copper tubing slightly flattened at one end to make it fit over the two ends of the clip then twist.
Or just use rogues point 9October 3, 2008 at 4:22 pm #264083pup

Dryer duct would probably get too hot for a cable tie !
