    The grill has stopped working. As this is a dual grill, would one part of the element failing stop the entire grill working or have I possibly got another problem ? (i.e the grill switch which feels a bit loose and does not light up when turned but this could be because the element is faulty)

    Would be grateful for your advice please.

    Normally the light would still come on even if the element had blown. It does sound more like a faulty switch or grill energy regulator.

    Thanks for quick reply.

    Confirms what I was thinking. I took the element to a local spares retailer this afternoon and he tested it as OK. Have ordered a replacement switch so fingers crossed.
