The seal on the freezer part of our fridge freezer has warped and is letting in warm air. The freezer is freezing up and now it seems to have knocked out the fridge which is going from -10 to +10. Its a 5 year old Scandinova (the 2nd – the first one gave up the ghost after 12 months) – is it worth getting a new door (£160) or is this a common problem on Scandinova’s and likely to happen again – it that is the case I would rather spend more money and get a new one. Any advice appreciated. Thanks.

They’ve been knocking out Scandinovas from Comet for 30 years now. Various different manufacturers, lots of different types. If you want the fridge lads to help you, post a model number.

Hi
Use a hair drier to warm the seal up and gently massage it and it should come back into shape.
