We have a single bosch oven HBN730550B which I am sure has recently started misbehaving, but I can’t be certain. Recently when we’ve cooked a cake on the “top and bottom” heating mode it will burn the bottom of the cake before the top is cooked. We’ve used the same recipes and the same heating mode in the past without any problems.
Also I’m sure that it takes longer to get up to temperature than it used to.
Is this my imagination? Does the oven have more than one element, one of which is now broken so that is only cooking with a bottom element?
BTW the grill element still works fine (for grilling anyway)

yes it has 3 oven elements, 1 is used for fan assisted cooking (a circle with a fan in the middle and 2 elements on coventional heating ( 2 horizontal lines) if you normally cook on contentional then an elemnt failure would cause this problem as would a faulty door seal hope this helps

Thanks for the help.
I finally got around to taking a look and yes the outer loop on the upper element has gone open circuit. It looks fairly easy to remove/replace so now I need to find one – the “Shop” only appears to sell fan elements so any ideas where I could get one online please?
