ParticipantCan anyone tell me which is the right dual cold valve; the one that fits into the dispenser housing. Partfinder lists two; 1605279 and 1604485 but with no indication as to how to identify the correct one. And the spares dept won’t give out part numbers.
The second one appears to be the complete dispenser/valve assembly, according to Connect’s picture, but what’s the first one? Thanks
Geoff

Hi Geoff,
1605096, now C00115539 is the double valve.

Blimey that was quick; thanks Chris but I think that’s the other one. The one I need is the one that screws onto the plastic dispenser moulding, and appears to come complete with it. It’s item 108 on the Partfinder diagram.

1604485 is the earlier dispenser assy, it doesn’t say if it comes with valves or not, the 1605297 disp/valve assy appears to have three valves.
Changed to the three valve one from date code 40.
I guess you just use the two valves you need and leave the flushing valve untouched.
Jim.
PS. If part number on Partfinder has a ? preceding it, highlight it then click on Details tab for more information.

Thanks Jim,
It’ll be 1604485, the earlier one with 2 valves that I need, I think. The diagram on Partfinder [ item 108] shows it with valves and doesn’t show the valve assembly separately. The ‘detail’ information tells you about the early and late assemblies with 2 or 3 valves, but as far as I can see doesn’t tell you which part no. is which; really useful!
In fact I’ve just looked up 1604485 on Connections and it looks like the correct part with 2 valves from the photo. They don’t show a photo of 1605297.

If you click on Details, then View Notice and then, View List, it does identify which one is which by date code, as the View Notice page tells you that the assy changed from two valves to three, ergo 1604485 is a double valve assy. 🙂

So it does; you’re spot on as usual 🙂 . I didn’t notice those options at the bottom of the page. My brain’s not functioning at normal capacity at the moment. I drove over to Urmston the other day – about 4 miles away and a journey I’ve only been doing for 20 years and went the wrong way twice during the journey.
Ah well; things can only get better as I’m sure Gordon Brown is thinking.October 8, 2008 at 4:10 pm #264539iadom

I do that all the time, usually when I am trying to think of the last job, the next one, first call the following morning and what to do for tea. 😀
I put it down to my age. 😆

Oh yes, I ‘ve always done it occasionally as well while thinking about the jobs but normally only once in a journey! But up till a month ago I didn’t have to think about what to do for tea; I do now 🙁 .
