I don’t really deal with refrigeration, guidance with this problem would be appreciated.
    Mod ER7626B, Type B258870, Prod 925887601, Ser. 01900079.

Called on a couple of occasions, took temperatures all seemed OK ie +3 in fridge and -20 freezer. but there is evidence that the freezer had defrosted, in that there was water run marks down the front of the freezer drawers.

However on another call, I found that the Stat had cut out (no compressor) and did not come back on until -9 in the freezer and +10 in the fridge. I assumed that stat was faulty. I fitted a new one 3 weeks ago. Everything OK until today evidence of the freezer defrosting.

Am I looking at a system fault here?, a blockage perhaps. Or have I missed something

    Cheers David

    Hi arosview,

i would be looking for a defrost problem, turn defrost timer to the defrost position and remove the freezer evaporator cover and check if the heater is working if yes change the timer if not check the heater and thermal cut outs.

    Thanks Bob,
Problem is on this model I can’t locate the defrost timer. At least it is not at the rear where most are positioned. I assumed that the defrost was taken care of by the stat.

Any takers on this please guys, I’m not geared up for system faults, if it is that. So do I tell the customer that it is BER.

    Cheers David.
