LG WM-1371FHB spider – difficulty tightening pulley.

4434ER1003G was the first spider that came up in connect’s list for this model. Didn’t look all that closely when putting it onto drum as assumed it was right.
But when I came to screw on the pulley nut I found I wasn’t able to get it tight enough to stop the pulley wobbling.
Removing the nut again (and washer) I compared it to the old spider and found that the flattened bit of the shaft which the pulley fits over was at least a millimetre longer than on the old spider. This makes it impossible to tighten the pulley.
To get the job finished for now, I wound a bit of thick wire round under the washer and managed to get it tight enough to function. I’m thinking to make up a special spacer washer to fill the gap.
