ParticipantI have been asked to wire up this range cooker but can’t find out the maximum power consumption. The instruction book says use 2.5mm cable but does not specify a fuse rating. It can’t have a 13 amp plug on it because 2.5 mm flex is officially too big to go in a plug. I could fit a fused spur with a 13 amp fuse but don’t know if it consumes more than 13 amps. I have looked for a rating plate on the cooker but have not found one 😕

cant find the actual spec but the fan ele= 2500w + small grill ele =2150w thats 4650w = over 19 amps.

Thanks. Looks like it needs it’s own supply from the consumer unit then. Customer is already complaining about the kitchen fitters from hell who installed his new units. Now I have to give him the news that he will have an expensive wiring job required 😉

Participanterm, im sure, lookin at the diagram, because it has the 7 switch selector ( 0500281), which only allows one function at any one given time, you can run it on a 13amp plug top

seems strange to have a large range type cooker that you can only use one oven at a time, whats the point of having all that space if you can’t use it.

Participantit only has one oven
October 11, 2008 at 8:17 am #264788helo_75
Participantbut then sayin that, when i looked on the exploded diagram of that machine, it has one oven
then i googled it and it has two
maybe phidom could be more specific
if its a double oven, then yes its would exceed 19 amps, if its one then a plug top will do
visual inspections is always better than relying on pictures

Participanttypically
comets website says its double oven
http://www.comet.co.uk/shopcomet/produc … I-DFS090DObut comets tech spec says its single
thats about right for comet that
supply a double oven cooker, then give you the info for a single oven then ream you for ordering the wrong partsOctober 11, 2008 at 8:39 am #264790bzz67
ParticipantRe: DeLonghi Dual Fuel Cooker
not that i like to stick up for comet but it does say single oven N/A then it says about left and right ovens.

ParticipantRe: DeLonghi Dual Fuel Cooker
Yes, it has side by side ovens. I don’t think it would be designed so you can only have one on at a time.
